Talentueux trentenaire, Sylvain Dittière a travaillé chez les Gauby, chez Thierry Germain, au Château Yvonne et au Clos Rougeard, où il s'est lié à la famille Foucault. Cet apprentissage très sérieux l'a conduit naturellement à s'installer en 2011 à Montreuil-Bellay, dans une cave ancienne et très fraîche, parfaite pour les longs élevages qui sont sa marque de fabrique. Originale, la gamme comprend un sauvignon blanc sur sols argilo-sableux, élevé 14 mois en fût, et un chenin, La Perlée, qui a passé 24 mois en barrique. Très maîtrisés, les deux rouges, patinés par des élevages d'une grande précision, offrent des saveurs prenantes et une franchise d'expression remarquable.

La cuvée Pouches version rouge du domaine de La Porte Saint jean est issue de la nouvelle parcelle récemment acquise par Sylvain au lieu dit du même nom, à la sortie de Montreuil-Bellay. Les vignes de Cabernet Franc viennent de la partie basse de la parcelle jusqu'à mi-pente. Les sols sont composés d'alluvions sur calcaire du quaternaire, sables limoneux en surface. Le nez de ce vin nous révèle de délicieuses notes de framboises, de fraises des bois et de groseilles. La bouche impressionne par sa texture soyeuse et délicate sublimée par la fraicheur du fruit qui lui confère un caractère juteux. Les tannins sont droits et fins.
