Julien Illbert et son épouse Sophie portent la nouvelle destinée de ce vignoble dont l'existence est attestée depuis 1900. Rompant avec le modèle de son père, Julien a pris le virage de la mise en bouteille ; il est parti à la recherche d'une nouvelle identité pour ce domaine, posant sur ses différentes cuvées des étiquettes éloquentes et modernes. Ses cuvées, un temps immédiates et fruitées, prennent de plus en plus d'envergure. Il tire le meilleur des 21 hectares plantés en auxerrois, nom local du malbec, et de l'unique hectare de vermentino, raisin méridional qui trouve ici un socle à sa mesure. Il a isolé trois terroirs : le Lac aux Cochons, au sol calcaire riche en fer ; Au Cerisier, sur des argiles rouges ; et, surtout, Les Peyres Levades, terroir calcaire qui se démarque année après année.

Comme le dit Julien, « Le Pur Fruit du Causse est notre premier vin dans la gamme des vins de Cahors que nous proposons. Il s’agit d’un assemblage de parcelles sur des sols à dominante calcaire. Pour nous, ce vin est avant tout un vin plaisir, facile, un vin de copains sans complexe ! ». Le nez nous révèle des notes intenses de framboise, de groseilles et d'épices. La bouche est souple et gourmande et remplie de fraicheur. Un magnifique Malbec à déguster entre copains !

You may return any item that you would not be fully satisfied within 7 days of delivery to receive a full refund. This includes the cost of returning the product.
